This is the original studio maquette used for the Compsognathus (Compy) during the production of "The Lost World: Jurassic Park." This item came directly from Stan Winston studios, the company credited with the design and development of the dinosaur models.
Digital animators working on the film scanned this model into a computer and digitally recreated the character on film. Details such as skin pigment and body manipulation would then be added to bring the creature to life on the big screen.
